Short Biography
Sibghatullah Siddiqui is a Pakistani master of contemporary Islamic calligraphy painting based in Lahore. With over three decades of practice, his work bridges the classical discipline of Arabic calligraphic tradition and a bold, contemporary painterly language.
His canvases — primarily in oil and acrylic on stretched canvas — feature the sacred names of Allah, Quranic verses, and praises of the Prophet, rendered in vivid colour fields of crimson, gold, cobalt, and emerald. The work is simultaneously devotional in intent and visceral in presence.
Siddiqui has exhibited widely across Pakistan, with solo exhibitions at the Alhamra Art Gallery, Lahore, and the National Art Gallery, Islamabad. His work is held in private collections in Pakistan, the Gulf, and the United Kingdom.
